As a neuro-affirming children's play therapist, I integrate various disciplines to provide inclusive support for both neurodivergent and neurotypical children. Drawing from neuroscience, interventions are tailored to promote brain development and emotional regulation in all clients. Incorporating principles of affirmation and validation, influenced by positive psychology, sessions aim to foster resilience and self-esteem universally. Techniques from child development and attachment theory guide understanding of each child's unique needs, strengthening relationships across neurodiversity. Utilizing play therapy rooted in psychology and creativity, a safe and inclusive space is created for all children to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences, promoting healing and growth regardless of neurotype.

I felt there was a need to understand and help these kids to understand themselves and to navigate the school setting that was so turbulent for them, so I designed a program based on the lens that “you can not hold someone accountable for something they are aware of!”
